The programming tools: Task Icons
Telephony tasks are represented by unique icons. Each Task Icon opens to reveal a selection of programming commands and controls which can be customized for your own unique application. By simply dragging icons from the Task Icon palette to the Script page, connecting all together into a logical flowchart form and then customizing/activating the Task Icons, it can take mere minutes to create a working telephony application. Instead of weeks or months of development time, it can now take only a few days to a few weeks to create a complex and sophisticated script.
In addition to the built-in commands, DUET allows DAX-savvy programmers a back door to direct DAX command input as well as other low level command manipulation.

The system messages: From Natural Sound to...

Recording the "prompts" -- the messages that callers will hear -- is as easy as picking up a microphone and speaking. The DUET Creator contains the Natural Sound Editor with its own sound recording and editing features. Simply create all of the prompts on the Macintosh, then Batch Convert the files into the PC-board compatible format.
DUET and the PC
The DUET system is a two-part system: the Creator builds the application and also generates a RUNTIME file which is copied to and runs on the PC. Because of the dual nature of DUET, you can develop proprietary Scripts/applications for yourself or clients and then provide a stand-alone system for the final installation. Because you needn't supply the original Script source files to the client, your development investment can be fully protected.

On the Macintosh:

A Macintosh Plus, or better, with 2.5 Mbs RAM and System 6.4 or above, and a hard drive.

Mac-to-PC file conversion software, such as Apple File Exchange
The Script is created on the Macintosh. Sound files and database ASCII text files can also be created on the Mac, then converted to a PC-compatible format and transferred to the PC.
